Graham Lindsay founded The Belfast Bookcase Company to provide you with beautiful, enduring, bespoke bookcases and cabinets. They are designed to enhance the style of your home and take care of your precious possessions such as books, collectibles, media equipment, whisky and cocktail collections.

Graham has the knack of visualising your ideas and creating designs with an eye for detail that coordinates with your décor style and taste. He is committed to applying quality to his craftsmanship and providing bespoke carpentry solutions – as you would expect from a Master Carpenter (since 2005). Graham has a Master Carpenter Certificate from the Institute of Carpenters, and is a graduate of The Thomas Chippendale School of Furniture in Scotland.

MEET THE TEAM

Graham Lindsay, master craftsman and the creator of ‘The Belfast Bookcase Company’. Graham’s passion and eye for detail is the drive behind the high standards which are set in the business.

Graham is an award winning designer maker and Fellow of the ‘Institute of Carpenters’ holding the highest accolade of his profession in Ireland (Master Joiner) awarded in July 2005.

Grahams experience has come from working within the industry for 30 years, spending five years as an apprentice wood machinist, training in ‘The International Boatbuilding College’ and ‘The Thomas Chippendale School of Furniture’. Graham has a vast knowledge within the woodworking industry and passes that knowledge on to the people who make products in the business, by advocating continual improvement.Phil Haines (production manager) Phil is a talented cabinet maker and carpenter. Phil is that soldier that every business needs. He is a grafter and has a confidence in what he does and rightfully so, due to his wealth of experience in cabinetmaking and architectural joinery work. His experience coupled with a great work ethic means when you throw a difficult job at Phil, he will deal with it in an accurate and efficient manner. He has a great ability to plan, think ahead and handle multiple projects. Phil has passion for making the great work that comes our way and has pride in seeing a project to fruition and is responsible for some of our innovative manufacturing processes.

HOW I WORK WITH YOU

Here’s a stage by stage description of how Graham works with you to transform your room:

Step 1: Request an outline estimate for your project by filling in the form here

Step 2: Email Graham to confirm you want to proceed with your project and pay your Design Consultation fee of £270.

Step 3:  Discuss the details of your vision in your Design Consultation, Graham will ask questions, take measurements and within a few days you’ll receive your inspiring 3D visual image, along with a detailed quote and timetable.

Step 4: Finalise the details to get your project installation started. Graham will make, install and finish your project.
